Birthday Flowers

I don't know about you, but the end of May and all of June are busy birthday months for me.  So I have been trying to stock up on a few birthday cards.  I am loving the Petite Petals set, so thought what  a wonderful excuse to use them!!

I know, I know, I know I've been using the Hardwood stamp a lot, but it really is the perfect background stamp for so many cards!  And it stamps beautifully on Crumb Cake CS with Crumb Cake ink.  Sponging the edges looks good too.

For interest, I cut out the centre using the Window Framelits, and added a stamp of scattered dots from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  So cute!

I stamped my flowers with Blushing Bride & Melon Mambo, and added a few little itty bitty flowers too.  The leaves and the pearls add so much interest to the card!

I love this colour combination and intend to make more cards using this design!

Here's what I used:
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Petals, Hardwood & Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo & Blushing Bride
Papers: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Whisper White & Crumb Cake CS
Accessories: Pearls & Sponge daubers
Big Shot: Little Leaves die & Window Framelits
