Evergreen

So my Day 2 of the Christmas card parade featured my grunge style reindeer and the silver embossed trees.  So while I had the embossing heat gun, my powders and Evergreen stamp set out, I decided to make a few more cards.

I just loved the effect of silver embossing of these Christmas trees and they look stunning on the crisp white background   Just perfect for this next parade of Christmas cards!

I stamped and embossed with silver directly onto a Whisper White CS matt, which I then layered onto a second Whisper White  CS matt which I had embossed with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.  I added a strip of Season of Style washi tape to the top of the card for colour interest.  I also made a Merry Christmas sentiment strip layered onto Cherry Cobbler CS.  Of course, every silver Christmas tree needs a shiny Christmas star!

I then found some beautiful black and white baroque papers that I had upcycled from the packaging of a picture frame of all things!  It made for a beautiful background to my next lot of cards.  This time around I edged the stamped layer with silver ink and then adhered to the baroque paper.  Beautiful.

Of course I added a star, a Christmas sentiment little shiny gems onto the card.  Perfect!

So here's what I used:
Stamps: Warmth & Wonder and Greetings of the Season
Inks: Basic Black & Silver Metallic
Papers: Whisper White & Chery Cobbler CS, Silver Foil sheets
Accessories: star punch & rhinestone gems
Big Shot: Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder
