Thought I would join in with a challenge over at the Just Add Ink website. This is a relatively new blog with lots of new challenges, tutorials and examples of fantastic work.
This is what the challenge looks like (it's a sketch this time):
The best thing about sketch challenges, is how you can be fairly flexible with them and interpret them your own way. I turned mine on to its side and put some owls that I had made to good use. Here they are:
Don't you just love owls?? I sure do. I saw some similar owls on a blog (unfortunately I can't remember the name) but over the weekend, Cheryl and I made a whole stack of them. Of course, they have to sit on their branches and show us the way!! So does my card look like the original sketch ... well probably not, but you can see where it all started!!
Here's what I used:
Stamps: Hello Again (retired)
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Papers: Almost Amethyst, Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Basic Black, Lovely Lilac, Elegant Eggplant, Yoyo Yellow and Chocolate Chip CS. Good Morning Sunshine DSP
Punches: Circle punches (various sizes), Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Boho Blossoms, Round Tab & Extra-Large Two-Step Bird
Other: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder & Stampin' Dimensionals
What a cute card. I haven't seen all these 'versions' of punch art owls.

Hey Carolyn, those owls are so cute! and so are your fruit sisters. Haven't been to your blog for a while - I'll have to come back soon. Must case those owls.
