Baby Boy

Don't you just love newborn babies and the chance to make something special?  I sure do!

Today I visited my friend's little boy Benjamin.  He was 8 days old and so tiny.  You forget how small babies are!

Of course I had to make a card for the occasion.  I was inspired by a card that I saw while surfing the blogs and made my version from one made by Marelle.  I hope you enjoy:

What I really like about this card is the use of non-traditional baby colours.  Not that there is anything wrong with that of course, but it's nice to play with other colours!!

Here's what I used:

Stamps: Fox & Friends and Short & Sweet
Papers: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive (textured) and Whisper White CS, Tall Tales DSP (retired) and scraps of other DSP.
Inks: So Saffron, Soft Suede & Old Olive
Other: Big Shot & Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlits dies, Square, Scallop Oval & Oval Punch & Stampin' Dimensionals.

Now it's got me pondering, how could I tailor this card for girls?  Pinks and Greens, Purples perhaps!!  Time to go experiment with colours!!
