Pocket Silhouettes

Well that's another long weekend come and gone. They seem to take so long to arrive but go so quick!!

Today's card was one of my 'cards I prepared earlier' (over the weekend) as I was kept busy today catching up on washing, housework, buying birthday presents and making cupcakes! Yep, Luke's birthday is almost here!

This card uses one of the new stamp sets and I love it. Even though I hadn't used it before, I have been admiring it for some time and have seen a lot of cards and things made with it while blog surfing! My card uses the colour combo from one of last year's card sets from Stampin' Up! - old olive, pumpkin pie & real red! Doesn't sound nice, until you have a closer look!

Stamps: Pocket Silhouette & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Basic Grey & VersaMark™

Other: Small Oval Punch & Red Ribbon (retired)

I'm not sure if you can see it in this photo, but I have used one of the stamps with VersaMark ink along the bottom of the card. Just to give it a bit of interest. I have also made a word window with the small oval punch and stamped my sentiment on the inside. You might also notice the butterfly which I have stamped in Chocolate Chip and highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds. This stamp comes from the retired 'Live your Dream' set which is a perfect set for scrapbooking as well as little highlights like the butterfly. It's a shame it never made it past the Mini Catalogue last year. I love it!

Anyway, bedtime calls. Have a lovely night! :0)
