Embrace Male!

Do you like my title - I am referring to my card! But read on!

I consider myself fortunate. I have many jobs - some unpaid, some paid, some I do - just for the love of it! I work almost full time (four days a week), I study my Masters part time, I am a full time mother and wife (the most important role) and I am an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin' Up! which is a casual/part time role. And that's only the start of it - I do so much more! I am not looking for kudos - in fact, I just love the fact that I can be all this at once.

Is there a point to this you ask? Maybe - maybe not! I was just sitting here thinking how lucky we are to have long weekends! I don't work Fridays, so this will be an extra long weekend for me. In fact, today was a lazy day! Baby Matthew and I went to the shops for a few essentials. He loves going in the ol' ute. Despite the fact it has no heating or cooling, the baby seat is safe and he can see so much. In fact he was pointing out the birds flying in the sky to me. Amazing when you stop and consider the view point of a young child. To them the flying of the bird is just magical.

I will get to my point! Despite the house chores, looking after Baby Matthew (Big Boy Luke and my Wonderful Husband (WH) went iceskating) and doing the washing, I did get to sit at my table and try my last card for this week's focus (Embrace Life if you have forgotten). I guess my deep thinking really suits that one - and that is completely by accident. Anyway, I wanted to make a card suitable for male birthdays. They are so hard to make cards with and I don't really have any male themed stamp sets (yet!) - but this one works!

Stamps: Embrace Life & Big Bold Birthday

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip & Old Olive

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Chocolate Chip (Textured cardstock) & DSP- Afternoon Tea

Other: Silver Brads

As you can see an uncomplicated and not too fussy card. Simple and just right for the male in your life.... hmm I wonder if I can translate or should I say convert to a female card???
