So yesterday I shared the card I made inspired by Amy Celona's By the Tide card. I decided that I really liked what she had done on the box, but as I didn't need a box - I decided to use the inspiration and make a card instead!
So using similar methodsto yesterday, I inked a clear block with Crumb Cake ink and stamped directly onto cardstock. This time I decided to use blues, and stamped the seaweed & script with Marina Mist ink. I love that shade of blue!
I stamped the seahorse, shell and fish in Midnight Muse and hand cut them out. Again I used dimensionals to pop them up.
I sponged the edges of the image with Crumb Cake ink. For interest and inspired by Amy Celona, I used some gauze found in my First Aid box and stuck behind the image with sticky strip. Love that stuff. It gives a whole new sense of 'fishy', making the card look like it has netting. Perfect for the fishermen in your life!!
I've used a button again and mixed up the background matts for colour interest. I'm really happy with this card, and love the rustic 'fishy' feel about it!!
So here's what I used:
Stamps: By the Tide
Inks: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist & Midnight Muse
Papers: Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede & Whisper White CS
Accessories: Gauze, sponge dauber & twine
Big Shot: Button sizzlit & Label framelits
So next time you head to your first aid box, have a look and see what you might use for crafting instead!!!!
