Vintage Vogue

Last year, my most favourite stamp set was Vintage Vogue.  Funny that, I've not used it in months (maybe even all year), so when I saw a set of cards in blogland, I decided to give it a try using Vintage Vogue and my favourite colour of Melon Mambo!!

Melon Mambo goes beautifully with Baja Breeze don't you think!  It really made this vintage styled stamp set all modern with these colours too!

This card uses a touch of bling (basic pearls) and I found some Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon in my stash of retired ribbons.  I knew it would come in useful!!

Sometimes, every day items become embellishments too!  I had finished my little set of 'Clips Assortment' from Stampin' Up! so I used a trusty paperclip instead!!

So here's what I used:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Papers: Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake & Melon Mambo
Inks: Melon Mambo, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Pearls, Paper Clips
Other: Big Shot & Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Sponge Daubers & Stampin' Dimensionals

So maybe this will inspire you to pull out some of your dusty stamps and give them a go with a fresh lot of colours.  Just like I was inspired by the work of Alisa Tilsner.  You might recall I love her work!
