Time for a Challenge!!

Now that I've found my stamping mojo again, I thought it might be a great idea to participate in the online challenges out there.  One of my favourite turn-to blogs for challenges is Just Add Ink.  They have both sketch and colour challenges.... I love the colour challenges!

This week's challenge is the Sketch Challenge - JAI 67.  I quite liked this challenge, so I decided to give it a try!

As I had the Every Moment stamp set lying open on my craft table, I decided it would be the perfect stamp set to use for a birthday card!  I changed the aspect from portrait to landscape and used my own interpretation of the elements.

 

I used some handmade twine in matching Soft Suede to tie around each major element and used a pearl for the 'button' element.  I had a lot of fun water-colouring this one.  I love this as a colouring technique - so relaxing!!

Stamps: Every Moment
Inks: Black StazOn, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze & Daffodil Delight
Papers: Watercolour paper, Whisper White & Bashful Blue
Other: Handmade twine, pearls, sponges, Aqua-painter brush and Stampin' Dimensionals
