I wanted to make a birthday card for a special little boy who's turning one. I didn't want anything too babyish but I wanted something cute but suitable for a one year old. So who to turn to? Well, Sesame Street of course. Using various punch art designs I've seen over the years - I made this very quick card. A few cuts, a few punches and a bit of glue-sticking and it was done. The card is almost stamp-free for all the non-stampers out there!!
All you need are some nice bright pieces of cardstock and various punches. I used the mega-cool owl punch for the whites & blacks of the eyes. How handy is that!! The owl punch makes eyes the right size!
I'm not sure who is my favourite, although I do like the beak of Big Bird. It's a small oval cut out, folded in half!!
I'm not sure what colours I used as they were all from my scraps basket but I'm sure you get the idea! I used the
Scallop Circle Punch, 1" circle punch, Owl Punch & Small Oval punch. A bit of glue stick here and there and done!
For some of my favourite Stampin' Up! blogs with punch art and other 3D art, head on over to
