Another weekend gone

Can you believe it's Sunday night already? Weekends fly past so fast, even when you don't book your life so busy!! The weather was rather topsy-turvy here in Canberra. One moment you're enjoying the Winter Sun and then the next, you're running to get the washing off the line before it gets blown off or rains again.

I did spend more time indoors than I intended with Matthew being sick, but hopefully as he's getting better, the weather will keep improving in time for Spring.

I've also been a busy girl at my craft table. Friday night was Scrap night, and I have ALMOST finished my 2 pages (yes, I've done a double lay-out). I just need to finish the title. I have found my Cricut, now I just have to find my box with all the Cricut font cartridges. I've been looking all day without success! I also haven't found my cutting pads for my new Big Shot either. That still remains unused :( In desperation, I have ordered a new set of cutting pads. Maybe that will arrive tomorrow!

I have made a few cards, a few clips and pulled out my sewing machine (only to discover it is in need of a desperate service!). These little owl clips are just so cute. I was using the Forest Friends set for my double layout scrap pages, and had a bit of scrap Whisper White cardstock. I decided to stamp a few images and proceeded to punch them out. But what to do with them!! So I punched a few circles of Baja Breeze, adhered my 'Owl's to them and then used the Super Strong Sticky strip to glue it all together. So easy, and so cute!!

I was surfing the Blogs (as I often do) and saw this layout using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. It is just so elegant that I had to make it myself. I had pieces of scrap DSP so I put it to good use. The card is so lovely and would suit so many different occasions. As I used Basic Black CS as my card base, I put in a Whisper White CS insert, so there would be somewhere to write. See, I'm not just a pretty face (although I wish!!). Here's what I used ....

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral and Short & Sweet
Papers: Black & Whisper White CS & Urban Oasis DSP
Inks: Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss & Baja Breeze
Other: Blender Pen, Eyelet Border Punch, Black grosgrain ribbon

Now I better return to my list of things to do. Other than the 20 boxes I have brought inside to pack (the lounge is finished, hooray!). I am organising a 40th birthday party for my WH. I have 18 invitations to make! Looking for ideas .........
