Dragonflies

So I know I mentioned it in my Father's Day (part 2) blog post, so you might see me mention it again here and there .....

Recently I participated in a Facebook Group card swap and the theme was dragonflies.  Fun!

So again I got my water colouring gear out and off I went to play!

I used my ink refills of Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight to provide the water coloured background on this card.  Special watercolouring CS is the best thing for this project!

I stamped my dragonfly (my stamp was a freebie on a craft magazine I got a few years ago) onto Vellum CS and used my new Copper Embossing Powder.  Such a fabulous colour!

Add some trees and a splattering of silver for interest and the card was done.  I was really pleased with how it turned out!

Here's what I used:

Stamps: Thoughtful Branches, Gorgeous Grunge and Fairy Celebration
Papers: Whisper White CS, Vellum CS and Watercolouring CS
Inks: Tuxedo Black & Metallic Silver (retired)
Other: Aqua Painters, Copper Embossing powder and Heat Gun

Happy stamping xx

  1. Hi Carolyne, I'm looking at finding some people to card make/craft/stamp with and perhaps join Stampin Up. I'm not on Facebook so I seem to miss information on how to find these magical crafting groups arrived town. Any suggestions?

    1. Dear Mummy2Boys - perhaps try Meet Up groups? There should be some local to you? There are lots of groups in Canberra where I am based. Let me know what you think x
