Christmas Tree

So it's Day five of my Christmas Card parade.  How did that happen and how did I run out of days!!  I need more days to show my cards.  Leaving it to the last minute doesn't help!!  So to remind you:

To remind you of my Christmas card parade so far and the stamp sets I used:
Day One featured - Color Me Christmas
Day Two featured - Evergreen and embossing
Day Three featured - Santa's List

Today's card share features the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  This set has been around as long as I can remember, but I love it.  It's one of the most versatile sets ever!!

At the time of making this card I had run out of Whisper White CS and my order was on back order.  Very sad and frustrating, but nonetheless I had a supply of Very Vanilla and that's what I used to create my postcard layer of the card.

I stamped the Postcard stamp using Smoky Slate.  What a great ink colour that is.  Not too dark, just perfect.  I then sponged Old Olive around the edges of the tree (very lightly).  I stamped my Christmas Tree in Old Olive ink to match.

The postcard was layered onto a matt of Cherry Cobbler and then onto an Old Olive cardbase.  But before adding to the cardbase I added a bit of red & white striped ribbon that I had to the bottom corner of the card.  I tied off the middle with a bit of bakers twine.  So cute!  Not my idea, but so cute!

This card was inspired by Pinterest (but of course) and the supplies I used were:

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Seasons Greetings & Post Card
Inks: Smoky Slate, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler
Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive & Very Vanilla
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Bakers Twine & ribbon
