Crab & Co

I had a lovely night with friends at our Monthly Craft Night. It's the perfect way to end the working week and herald in the weekend!! Although I don't "work" Fridays, they are always busy days. I have Matthew home with me and I have to catch up on errands and chores that I can't do during the week!!

Usually, I try to do something different at Craft Nights, like hand-stitching or something, but I actually had to make a birthday card, so I packed supplies to make it. I needed a birthday card for a three year old boy. I could have gone cutesy, but I decided to try something different. I saw a card on the blog of Andrea Walford and thought to myself. I have that stamp set (Crab & Company) but I haven't used it. It was fate. I had to use the stamp set and make a card. This stamp set is really cool. My son loved playing with it this morning as we stamped some 'wrapping paper'. Unfortunately it's retired now, but maybe this card will inspire you to do something similar.
Stamps: Crab & Company
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Ruby Red, SU Watercolour Paper
Ink: StazOn black, Basic Grey
Other: Watercolour pencils, Stampin' Dimensionals, Circle Punches (1 1/4" and 1 3/8"), water brush.

I really enjoyed making this card. Using watercolour pencils is just like colouring in. And I've enjoyed that for as long as I can remember.

I made quite a few little Crab & Co circles, so I'll show them tomorrow. It's a bit late for taking photos!!

Good night!
