Simple Cards today - it's hot!

It sure was a hot day today - a great day for staying out of the hot sun and being indoors near the air-conditioning vents! A scorcher it was, and it's after 10pm now at night and still warm. Another restless night for sleeping I think. As you may have guessed - I am still working afternoon shift and have only just got home. The kids are still awake (too restless) and the air conditioning is still on. And this is only January - we've still got February to get through yet and February is always hot!

Anyway, the other day I made a card suitable for the males in your life using the Embrace Life set and the Afternoon Designer Series Papers (DSP) and I wondered if I could adapt it for the girls. Well here it is. I tried to keep it as alike as I could and only changed a few things, like the actual Afternoon Tea DSP print and the embellishments. I like it. Both are simple in design but certainly suitable for those that don't like fussy cards and the like!

This is the project recipe for the "Girl" card. To find the details for the "Male" card visit my entry on Sunday 25 January 2009!

Stamps: Embrace Life & Short and Sweet

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip & Garden Galore

Papers: Stampin' Up! Groovy Guava, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip & DSP- Afternoon Tea

Other: Buttons & Dew Drops (non SU)

Tip: Use Stampin' Up!s glue dots to stick your buttons down!

Anyway, that's it for now. The kids are still awake - so I had better go and see if I can settle them. Wish tomorrow was going to be cooler :)
