Embrace Life!

Sunday 18 January 2009

I can't believe it's already Sunday and that I last wrote something on Thursday! What happened to the other days - they seem to have passed by in a blur! Tomorrow also means my holidays are over and I'm back at work. Not fair! That was not supposed to happen!

I have been busy making things though - mainly getting ready for demonstrations and workshops. If you're interested in holding a demonstration or a workshop - even a stamp camp - please contact me. We will be using some of the exciting new products in the 2009 Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalogue and the 2009 Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. There is so much cool things to choose from! As the hostess - you too will be involved in choosing the 'Make & Takes'. Don't miss out and book in now. Sale-A-Bration runs out in February which is just around the corner :)

Anyways.......... I made my sister a birthday card on Friday (her birthday is today!) using the Ginger Blossoms DSP (our week's focus product) as well as the new 'Embrace Life' stamp set in the 2009 Summer Mini Catalogue. These papers and stamps cordinate really well! So Happy Birthday Lib!

Stamps: Embrace Life & Big Bold Birthday

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic River Rock, Rose Red & Old Olive as well as Black StazOn™

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, River Rock, Groovy Guava & Designer Series Paper - Ginger Blossom

Other: Ribbon & Dew Drop Embellishments, Scallop Edge punch

Note: I have also inked the edges of the hibiscus flower with Rose Red and adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to 'lift' it up from the card. Use glue dots to hold the ribbon in place!

Well, that's it for the weekly focus on Ginger Blossom DSP. You will see it used in other projects as it is pretty! And if you're wondering - the colours in the Ginger Blossom DSP feature River Rock & Groovy Guava (among others) which are the In Colour palette colours from Stampin' Up! which run out in March. If you love those colours - be sure to stock up and get the matching ink refills so you can use them again and again, and again!
