Designer Series Paper - Afternoon Tea

Today I visited the new prison here in Canberra. That got your attention didn't it! The prison here isn't open for use yet - it is still officially under building contract, but we got to have a tour and see the different sections. Not quite the resort that it has been painted to be in the media. It was hot and dusty though. I came home with a stinker of a headache after spending too much time in the hot sun today (and before you ask, I did slip, slop & slap, as well as drink lots of water). I've had a little nanna nap and was in the mood for making a card! January is full of birthdays for me - so I have to keep on top of my card making! Feeling a little fragile though - I opted for an easy card with simple techniques. I used the Embrace Life set (it's very pretty you know) and changed my colour scheme for you all :)

Stamps: Embrace Life

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip & Garden Green

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Close to Cocoa & Tempting Turquoise & Designer Series Paper - Afternoon Tea

Other: Eyelets, Ribbon & Chalks

Note: I have used blue chalk to colour in the flower and yellow chalk to colour around the picture. I have double-matted the picture on Close to Cocoa cardstock to add interest. Use a crop-a-dile for easy setting of the eyelets!

Both this stamp set and the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper are in the 2009 Summer Mini catalogue - contact me if you would like your own copy - even if just for a sticky beak. The pictures and project ideas provide plenty of inspiration!
